Caroline (Carrie) Harrison, MLA/T ,  OSMT Certified

Caroline is a certified team lead and current member in good standing with OSMT since 1999. She has been a MLA/T instructor for 4+ years including teaching at a CMA accredited college. She has extensive hands-on experience in healthcare with more than 25 years in various areas of clinical and diagnostic laboratories, collection centers, nursing homes and hospitals, working with nursing residents and occupying roles such as a mobile technician and homecare coordinator. Caroline is a graduate from Career Canada College/Sunview College in the Medical Office and Laboratory Technician/Assistant program.

 

CSMLS Instructor

Shazia Tabassum Hakim, MLA/T , (CSMLS Cert), MSc, PhD (Microbiology)
Dr. Hakim is a Microbiologist/Bacteriologist with expertise in Public Health services, Research, Academics, Diagnostics, Molecular Biology and Cell Culture techniques. She has more than 19 years of bench experience at numerous Clinical/Diagnostic & Research laboratories in Pakistan and the US (particularly as a Microbiologist & Geologist). Dr. Hakim also served as a Professor, Chairperson, and Dean, Faculty of Science & Research. She has educational certifications and qualifications in Medical Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, WHMIS, Biosafety and SOTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning)in Microbiology. Dr. Hakim has proven experience reviewing technical/research projects, job task planning and training fellow colleagues and junior staff. Dr. Hakim is a graduate from the University of Karachi, Pakistan and graduated from the Claflin University, SC, USA with a Post Post Doctorate from South Carolina Center for Biotechnology.
